Kamboi

Platform

One workflow, not twenty disconnected tools.

Kamboi is being built as a single connected product. Each area below explains the problem it addresses, the intended behavior, who is involved, and what the preview illustrates.

Kamboi is in development. These areas describe the platform being built; released pilot scope will be confirmed separately.

The journey

Seven areas along one purchase.

Select an area to read the detail. Each stays anchored so links from other pages land in the right place.

The problem

Requests arrive as messages and spreadsheets, so reviewers rebuild the context before they can decide anything.

Intended behavior

A request captures the need, quantity, context and attachments, then follows a review path against configured authority and available funds.

People involved

Requesters, department reviewers, procurement reviewers.

What the preview illustrates

The preview shows a sample request, its readiness checks and the next responsible role.

  • One starting point for a purchase, in business language
  • A visible review path instead of a private inbox
  • Intended behavior for policy, budgets and approval authority is being built

Shared capabilities

Beneath the journey, the same records and rules.

These areas serve every step rather than sitting beside them.
  • In development

    Governance and approvals

Policy, budgets, funding and approval authority are being built to decide what a person may do, on the server rather than in the browser.

  • In development

    Documents, audit and search

Records stay tied to the decisions they support, so a reviewer can find the quote, receipt or agreement behind a number.

  • Design direction

    Integrations and localization

Kamboi is designed to fit selected accounting and business systems and different organizational contexts. Specific support is confirmed per release.

  • In development

    Administration and identity

Organizations, roles and access are configurable. Supported identity options for a production deployment will be confirmed with the agreed release.

  • Preview of intended experience

    Intelligence and investigations

Reviewers are given help examining evidence and unusual patterns. Findings are advisory and are not proof of wrongdoing or recovered money.

Planning, categories and guided purchasing content

Future direction

Organizing future purchasing priorities and governing preferred purchasing content are explicit future directions. There is no live marketplace, punchout catalog or hosted supplier content in Kamboi today.

Secondary scenario

When matching is not enough

An order and an invoice can agree with each other and still disagree with the contract.
Effective contract rate
$100.00 per hour
Rate on the order and the invoice
$110.00 per hour
Accepted hours
20
Rate difference
$200.00

Illustrative amounts, before tax, using fictional records.

Contract control under development

Illustrative contract-control scenario under development. The purchase order and the invoice agree with each other, so quantity and price matching alone would pass. The effective contract rate is the record that disagrees.
